This 2021 Corbec represents a thoughtful transatlantic dialogue, pairing Corvina, the elegant foundation of Valpolicella, with Mendoza's expressive Malbec. Masi's restrained hand in the vineyard and cellar yields a wine of considerable refinement: the Corvina contributes silken tannins and mineral precision, whilst the Malbec adds depth and a subtle earthiness that speaks to the terroir of high-altitude Tupungato. At 14.5 per cent alcohol, the wine maintains admirable balance and freshness. Serve this alongside grilled lamb with rosemary, or aged hard cheeses that will echo its structured, savoury character.
