This 2019 red from the Conca de Barberà represents Torres' classical approach to the indigenous varieties of inland Catalonia. A blend of Cariñena, Garnacha, Samsó and Monastrell, the wine captures the mineral precision and structured tannins characteristic of this continental terroir, where schist and limestone soils impart considerable complexity. The vinification respects the individual character of each variety, resulting in a wine of considerable depth and ageing potential, expect it to develop further over the next decade. Serve this alongside lamb dishes with Provençal herbs, or mature Manchego cheese, where its tannin structure and acidity will find ideal complement.
